story/first appearance
Some native butterflies are found in Siberia. The insects, are actually from Japan. Scientist
are sent to explore why the Butterflies are in there in the first place. However, the scietists are crushed. The vilagers
think that their deaths are the result of Varan.
Another group is sent to explore and find how they were crushed. The also looked into the possibility
of Varan. Things happen and the reports of the creature go through all of Japan.
Villagers are evacuated while the JXSDF move in. They release Toxic chemicals into the river
where Varan may be hiding. The draw Varan out. The weapons have no effect on the monster.
Later, Varan continues his reign of destruction with tokyo destroyed almost. Jets are sent to
take out the monster, but no dice. But Varan manages to sink into the water. SDF uses mine sweepers to seal off tokyo. The
bombs detonate killing Varan.
Later, Varan is on Monster Island living in piece.
