King Kong Vs Godzilla

Region 1

Studio: GoodTimes

Country: USA

Format: NTSC

Year: 2001

Chapters: 18

Time: 91 Minutes

Video: *** / *****

This is the good ole Full Frame GoodTimes DVD that was pretty hard to find, until Universal re-released it in 2005. The video is cropped from 2.35:1 into 1.33:1. The video has some spots were discoloration and just bad spots of hair and grain. But when it is not visible it looks nice. There is only three sub tracks; English, French, and Spanish.

Overall: *** ½ /*****

This version is obsolete as Universal re-released the DVD in anamorphic widescreen. This was really rare to find and copies went on EBay for about $50. So, you cannot find this anymore in stores, so you’re screwed. I got mine in 2003; used when the video store I used to frequent in Kentucky was clearing out their DVD’s no one was renting. I got it on a deal 2 for $10 and also got the anime “Perfect Blue”.

Audio: ** ½ / *****

There is only one audio track: 2-Ch English Mono. You can hear static in some spots but it’s not that bad.

Special Features: * / *****

The only special feature is a bio on Ishiro Honda.
