Biology of King Ghidorah

King Ghidorah, created in 1964’s Ghidrah, the three headed monster, has been one of Toho’s most popular and complex kaiju. He has some of the strongest abilities of a kaiju.

King Ghidorah has three heads, each independent of one another. The three heads each have an individual brain, and these brains control the movements, emotions, and senses of each head. His gravity electrical beams are produced through atomic pockets in his throats,. where energy is transmitted through a reservoir located in Ghidorah’s stomach. Gravity Beams:

The gravity beams are Ghidorah’s most obvious power, usually created from internal energy reservoirs located in it’s stomach. They come out looking like lightning, but they are really atomic and electric bolts. The power of the gravity beams can vary. They can range from being thin, to very thick and strong, depending on how they are projected.

Effects of the Gravity Beams:

In 1964’s Ghidorah the three headed monster, Ghidorah’s energy beams are shown to be able to toss light objects or creatures, such as the way Mothra was tossed into the air. However, they were shown not to have no gravity effects on larger kaiju such as Godzilla and Rodan. Instead, they usually detonated on impact and stunned the monster. Constricting necks:

This power was not demonstrated until 1991’s Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, in which Godzilla is nearly choked to death by Ghidorah’s constricting necks. The vertebrae located in Ghidorah’s necks is able to bend with ease, allowing him to wrap the opponent up.Golden Armor:

One of Ghidorah’s most powerful features is his durable body. He was able to crush Angurius’s spiked shell without any injury. He was able to take several bites from Anguirus and Godzilla.
